Toyota Cars for GoodTM is a national program that brings the power of mobility to Canadian charities whose work makes our world more accessible and inclusive – with the three top recipients receiving a brand-new 2023 Toyota vehicle.

Only authorized representatives of a registered eligible Canadian charity were invited to apply. But anyone could play a role - sharing news of the program on social media, and encouraging others to apply. The program itself is broken into three phases:

How Applications are Evaluated
Scoring is out of 100, with points awarded to each section of the application, including Community Impact, Movement and Vehicle Need. See how they break down below.
Community Impact
(25 Points):
Tell us about your organization, your mission and your objectives. Provide examples of active efforts towards achieving such mission and objectives and describe the level of lasting impact in your community.
Movement
(45 Points):
Tell us about how your organization helps reduce barriers for movement and fosters physical accessibility. Please include examples of programs and/or services and their respective results in how they empower Canadians with mobility challenges and improve accessibility.
Vehicle Need
(30 Points):
Tell us why a vehicle is / would be important to your charity's work.
About the Judges
Rhonda O’Gallagher
Rhonda is a Canadian Paralympic Foundation Board Member, and in 2020, was recognized as one of Montreal’s West Island top business woman philanthropists. Rhonda is an award-winning executive with extensive experience in the healthcare, life sciences and not-for-profit sectors.
Josh Dueck
Josh is a pioneer in Para alpine sit skiing, and a two-time Paralympian. He represented Canada at Sochi 2014, as well as a two-time X Games competitor in 2010 and 2011, and added a silver and gold in the Men’s downhill sitting and Super G portion of the Men’s combined sitting in Sochi. In 2012, Josh became the first sit-skier to complete a backflip on snow, earning him worldwide notoriety. Josh was also the Chef de Mission for Canada’s Paralympic team at Beijing 2022.
Karolina Wisniewska
Karolina is an 8-time Paralympic medalist in alpine skiing, and the first-ever Paralympian inducted into the Canadian Ski Hall of Fame. She is also an inductee of the Canadian Paralympic Hall of Fame. Karolina has worked, volunteered, mentored, and coached extensively in the Canadian sport system, including being the Assistant Chef de Mission for Team Canada at the 2022 Beijing Paralympic Games and the Athlete Mentor at both the 2020 Tokyo and 2006 Torino Paralympic Games. She is a passionate advocate for equity, inclusion and accessibility.
