TORONTO, Ontario (October 23, 2024) – A car for everyone. For more than 50 years, millions of Canadians have relied upon the Toyota Corolla to provide safe, reliable, and comfortable transportation. For 2025, the Corolla sedan offers 10 different grades, each representing outstanding value.

“The Toyota Corolla is the ultimate compact sedan – offering Canadian drivers a balance of affordability, fun-to-drive performance, technology, and impressive safety and efficiency,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “Best of all, we offer the world’s all-time best-selling vehicle in a range of choices – including the L grades, the sporty and stylish Corolla S grades, and the super-efficient hybrid models with electronic on-demand all-wheel drive – to ensure there’s a perfect car for everyone.”

The 2025 Corolla’s stylish and dynamic design is poised for action from every angle – with an athletic body that expresses its low centre of gravity through perfectly proportioned curves and a well-planted stance. No matter where life’s road leads, the Corolla’s design promises a fun journey through details such as its honeycomb grille, J-shaped bi-beam LED headlamps, and wheels pushed to the corners. The Corolla L line exhibits classic style, while the S series expresses Corolla’s sportier side with larger wheels, a wider honeycomb grille, dual tip exhaust, and rear lip spoiler.

Enter the cabin, and Corolla welcomes driver and up to four additional passengers to a cabin designed for comfort and convenience – with details such as soft touch controls and premium materials elevating Corolla’s sense of style. The driver-focused cockpit features an instrument panel that’s cleverly shaped to enhance the driver’s field of view.

Every Corolla puts intuitive technology at one’s fingertips – and one’s voice. The Toyota Multimedia system – included as standard on every model – is a bundle of start connectivity technologies that keep drivers informed and safe while simplifying their lives behind the wheel. The system integrates wirelessly with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and features Toyota’s newest interface, which improves interaction between people and vehicle through sight, touch, and voice. Many functions may be controlled via the touch screen via the same gestures used on mobile phone screens.

Under the hood, Toyota engineers developed two impressive powertrains to get the most performance and efficiency out of the Corolla.

  • The Corolla is built around a gasoline powertrain featuring a 2.0L four-cylinder engine, Direct Shift continuously variable transmission (CVT), and front wheel drive. This combination delivers 169 peak horsepower and up to 151 lb-ft of torque.
  • The Corolla Hybrid features Toyota’s popular and proven hybrid technology, built around a 1.8L four-cylinder engine, an electronically-controlled CVT, high-torque electric motor-generator system, and Lithium-Ion battery. This powertrain generates 138 system horsepower while achieving incredible fuel efficiency – rated as low as 4.4L / 100km city/highway combined. Corolla Hybrid AWD models are fitted with Toyota’s innovative electronic on-demand all-wheel-drive system, which uses separate, rear-mounted electric motors to power the rear wheels when needed for added driving confidence in any weather.

Built on the revolutionary Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) C platform, the Corolla family features sleek styling and a low centre of gravity for greater stability and reduced noise and vibration. Toyota engineers enhanced these natural sedan advantages with a rigid body structure, carefully tuned suspensions, and active cornering assist technologies to deliver outstanding agility and stability without compromise. The Corolla S line models feature specially-tuned front and rear suspensions to give the driver a more connected road feel – all without sacrificing ride comfort.

Every Corolla and Corolla Hybrid also comes with an impressive package of safety features headlined by Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 – the newest configuration of Toyota’s suite of active safety technologies and capabilities that supports driver awareness and decision making to help reduce the potential for accidents. Other standard safety features include the Toyota Star Safety System, a backup camera, 10 airbags, and an anti-theft alarm system with engine immobilizer.
