TORONTO, Ontario – July 28th, 2022 – Canadians who live for the joy of driving know the legend of the Supra. And for 2023, Toyota offers new reasons to celebrate this remarkable sports coupe – including a limited production model, the addition of a manual transmission option to the lineup, and enhanced suspensions and handling systems to make the drive even more exhilarating.
“The GR Supra draws on the passion and engineering excellence of our Toyota Gazoo Racing team to offer Canadian drivers authentic, track-proven performance,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “Those seeking the ultimate motorsports experience – on or off the track – will love what we’ve done with the GR Supra for 2023.”
Performance begins with power, and the GR Supra is built around a choice of two engines. GR Supra 3.0 models feature a 3.0L straight 6 that generates 382 HP and 367 lb-ft of torque, while the GR Supra 2.0 is fitted with a 2.0L inline 4 that produces 255 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque.
Toyota engineers crafted a purpose-built, all-new Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) for the 3.0L Premium and A91-MT Edition models. This six-speed gearbox features a large diameter clutch with reinforced diaphragm spring and makes optimal use of the engine’s horsepower and torque to deliver precisely timed shifts.
For those who prefer an automatic, Toyota offers an eight-speed automatic with paddle shifters on the 3.0L Premium and 2.0L models.
All 2023 GR Supra models feature newly tuned Traction Control systems, upgraded braking, a Vehicle Stability Control system enhanced with an Anti-Roll Program, and an all-new Hairpin+ function. Hairpin+ allows more freewheel spin when taking tight bends on a high-friction surface with an uphill gradient to enhance driving enjoyment. Track Mode has also been fine-tuned to enhance drifting.
Toyota engineers have made several additional enhancements to all GR Supra 3.0 models. These include retuning the suspension and shock absorbers to improve roll balance and ride comfort; upgrading mechanical components and retuning software in the electric power steering; and equipping all models with an active rear sport differential as standard equipment.
The GR Supra expresses its track-proven performance with a dramatic, aerodynamic design, featuring a wide grille with large air intakes, double-bubble roof that reduces drag while maintaining headroom, six-lens LED headlights, and an integrated rear spoiler that suppresses body lift.
Inside, the two-seater GR Supra challenges the excitement of a single-seat race car. An 8.8” digital gauge cluster provides at-a-glance performance information, while heated seats and dual-zone automatic climate control provide year-round comfort. The leather-wrapped steering wheel provides confident connection between driver and machine, while the race-inspired cabin features carbon fiber trim.
GR Supra 3.0 models feature Embedded Navigation and Toyota Supra Connect – an advanced technology suite including Automatic Emergency Call, Real-Time Traffic Information, Roadside Assistance, and iPhone connectivity.
Epic drives deserve epic soundtracks, which is why GR Supra 3.0 models are standard equipped with a 12-speaker JBL Audio system, integrated Sirius XM Satellite Radio, and wireless Apple CarPlay. The GR Supra 2.0 is standard equipped with a display audio system with 8.8” touchscreen and touchpad rotary control and USB audio input.
As a Toyota, every GR Supra also features a comprehensive safety package. This includes the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning with Steering Assist, automatic high beams, a backup camera, eight airbags, and more.
Toyota Dealers will offer the Toyota GR Supra in a number of model and trim configurations, as follows:

Also new this year, the 2023 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 A91-MT Edition (starting MSRP: $70,270) features adds on the 3.0 Premium manual model with an exclusive cognac leather interior, unique 19” forged Frozen Gunmetal gray wheels, strut tower brace, and an Alcantara-clad shift knob and shift boot.
