TORONTO, November 18, 2024
– There’s more to explore, with the 2025 Toyota RAV4 family. Wherever life takes you, there’s a RAV4 model to get you there – and with 16 different grades to choose from, it’s easy to find a RAV4 as unique as you are.

“The RAV4 is one of Canada’s best-loved vehicles,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “Every RAV4 delivers dynamic performance, a refined interior, incredible versatility, and an impressive list of standard features, technologies, and amenities. Even better, the RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid models are built by Canadians at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada.”

RAV4’s body styling sets it above the crowd in one of Canada’s most popular vehicle segments. Its wide track and long wheelbase give RAV4 a firmly planted stance that contributes to its confident, stable driving manners. Meantime, short overhangs and high ground clearance let RAV4 easily tackle tougher terrain – from cottage roads to rural trails. Body styling includes model-specific cues that reflect each vehicle’s features and capabilities.

Inside, the RAV4 seats up to five adults with its spaciousness and refinement. Every cabin features premium materials, a harmonious layout, and thoughtful features and amenities – plus the versatility of 60/40 split folding rear seats when there’s a need to haul more cargo.

Every member of the RAV4 family is a technology showcase, headlined by the Toyota Multimedia system. This bundle of smart connectivity technologies keeps drivers informed and safe while simplifying their lives behind the wheel. Toyota Multimedia integrates wirelessly with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and features Toyota’s newest interface, which improves interaction between people and vehicle through sight, touch, and voice.

Technology also informs performance, with a choice of three distinct all-wheel-drive powertrains. Each is engineered for power, dynamic handling, and all-weather capability. The result is increased driver confidence, whether accelerating onto a highway or negotiating a gravel road.

  • Offered in five grades, the 2025 RAV4 is built around a gasoline powertrain, featuring a 2.5L Dynamic Force 4-cylinder engine paired with a direct-shift eight-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain generates 203 peak horsepower and up to 184 lb-ft of torque, while providing most RAV4 models with a 680 kg (1,500 lb) towing rating. Select RAV4 models feature Toyota’s Dynamic Torque Vectoring All Wheel Drive System with rear driveline disconnect. A Toyota first, this system can send up to 50 percent of engine torque to the rear wheels, plus distribute it to the left or right rear wheel for exceptional control.
  • Offered in eight grades, the 2025 RAV4 Hybrid showcases Toyota’s popular and proven hybrid-electric technology. This advanced powertrain features a 2.5L Dynamic Force 4-cylinder engine, high-torque motor-generators, continuously variable transmission, and efficient storage batteries. The result is 219 net system horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque – for fast, confident acceleration, impressive fuel efficiency, and no need to plug in. All RAV4 Hybrid models ride on an electronic on-demand all wheel drive system featuring a dedicated electric motor at each wheel to channel torque where it’s needed.
  • Finally, the RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid features Toyota’s plug-in hybrid powertrain technology, harnessing a 2.5L four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine and high torque electric motors that work together to generate 302 system horsepower. This, combined with the electronic on-demand all-wheel-drive factory fitted to all models, results in impressive acceleration and all-weather confidence for an incredible driving experience. Equally impressively, the RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid delivers a driving range of up to 979 kilometers on a full tank of gas and a full battery charge – plus enough pure-electric range to take care of daily driving in town. The RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid battery charges while on the go – just like a self-charging hybrid. But it but can also be plugged in to extend the EV driving range. The battery will charge in as little as 2.5 hours with a 240V outlet, and with a larger battery than the RAV4 Hybrid the RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid can operate in pure electric range for up to 68 kilometers, and travel at speeds of up to 135 km/h in pure electric vehicle mode. That gives RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid a remarkable fuel efficiency rating of 2.5L equivalent per 100 kilometers (city/highway combined).

Every member of the RAV4 family also comes with an impressive package of safety features headlined by Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 – Toyota’s bundle of active safety technologies and capabilities that supports driver awareness and decision making to help reduce the potential for accidents. Other standard safety features include the Toyota Star Safety System, a backup camera, eight airbags, the Blind Spot Monitor System with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and an engine immobilizer.
