Toyota Canada Releases April Sales Results

TORONTO, Ontario – May 1, 2024 – Record-setting electrified vehicles sales continue in April for Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) with a total of 9,751 electrified units sold.
Electrified vehicles sales represented 38.9% of overall TCI sales. For the Toyota Division, these electrified vehicles sales represented 37.6% of all units sold in April 2024. Electrified vehicles also represented 48.7% of all Lexus Division units sold in April 2024.
A total of 2,017 Zero-Emission Vehicles (ZEV, comprised of EV, PHEV and FCEV) units were among the electrified Toyota and Lexus vehicles sold in April.
TCI sees second best April on record
Overall, TCI sold 25,060 vehicles in April 2024, up 27.8% from April 2023. TCI’s April record dates back to April 2008, with 25,441 units sold.
Toyota division saw April sales of 22,148 units sold, up 33.8% from April 2023.
Lexus division saw April sales of 2,912 units sold, down 4.9% from April 2023.
Toyota vehicles assembled in Canada in high demand
April sales of the best-selling passenger vehicle in Canada, the Toyota RAV4, hit another monthly record with 8,260 units sold, up 10.6% year over year. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada-made Lexus RX also saw record April sales with 1,134 units sold, up 6.8%.
