Toyota Canada Releases January Vehicle Sales Results

TORONTO, Ontario – February 1, 2023 –Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) sold 12,859 vehicles in January 2023, up 11.8% from January 2022.

Toyota division sold 10,574 units, up 3.2% from January 2022. Corolla Hybrid sales set an all-time monthly record with 748 units sold last month. Highlander sales also set a January record, while sales of the best-selling passenger vehicle in Canada in 2022, the Toyota RAV4, were up 30.4% compared to January 2022.

Lexus division had a January sales record, selling 2,285 units, up 82.9% from January 2022. Sales of the Lexus NX, RX, GX and LS all set January records.

Electrified vehicles

Both Toyota and Lexus divisions sold a record number of electrified vehicles for the month of January. Electrified vehicles represented 30.5% of TCI’s overall sales in January.

Toyota division electrified vehicles represented 27.6% of overall Toyota units sold in January 2023. Lexus division electrified vehicles represented 43.7% of overall Lexus units sold in January 2023.
