Toyota Canada Releases November Sales Results

Best November on record, up 36.2% year over year 

Record-setting electrified vehicle sales represented 42.9% of overall sales in November 2023

Record November sales of the best-selling passenger vehicle in Canada, the Toyota RAV4

TORONTO, Ontario – December 1, 2023 – Record-setting electrified vehicles sales continue in November for Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI), representing 42.9% of overall sales.   

Electrified vehicles represented 58.0% of all Lexus Division units sold in November 2023, with record November sales for the UX Hybrid (up 58.2%), NX PHEV (up 6.9%) and RX Hybrid (up 416.9%). 

Electrified vehicles also represented 40.9% of all Toyota Division units sold in November 2023, with record monthly sales for the fully electric bZ4X as well as record November sales of RAV4 Hybrid (up 193.4%), RAV4 Prime plug-in hybrid (up 411.2%), and Corolla Hybrid (up 945.2%). Toyota also saw significant demand for its electrified Sienna (up 61.9%), Camry Hybrid (up 43.8%), and Highlander Hybrid (up 223.1%). 

A total of 1,620 Zero-Emission Vehicles (ZEV, comprising of EV, PHEV and FCEV) units were among the electrified Toyota and Lexus vehicles sold in November. 

Best November on record  
Overall, TCI sold a record 20,711 vehicles in November 2023, up 36.2% from November 2022. 

Toyota division saw record November sales with 18,273 units sold, up 39.6% from November 2022. This includes a monthly record for overall Toyota RAV4 sales of 6,099 units, up 30.0% year over year, led by record November sales of the RAV4 Hybrid and RAV4 Prime. bZ4x, Venza, Tundra, Tacoma, Corolla Cross and Corolla Hybrid also saw November record sales. 

Lexus division also saw record November sales with 2,438 units, up 15.5% from November 2022. This includes monthly records for the fully electric Lexus RZ, UX Hybrid, NX PHEV as well as RX Hybrid.  

Toyota vehicles assembled in Canada in high demand 
November sales of the best-selling passenger vehicle in Canada, the Toyota RAV4, hit a monthly record, up 30.0% year over year, led by record November sales of the RAV4 Hybrid. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada-made Lexus RX also saw strong November sales, led by record sales of the RX Hybrid versions.
