TORONTO, Ontario (September 19th, 2024) – Go anywhere, with style and comfort, in the 2025 Toyota Sequoia. This full-size, fully-capable SUV seats up to eight adults and is ready to help Canadians tackle more than ever before – wherever life’s journey leads. New this year, Toyota enhances the top-tier Capstone grade with an option to include towing mirrors, and boosts comfort for both Platinum and Capstone grades with massage seats for the driver and front-row passenger.

“When Canadians are ready to go big, the 2025 Toyota Sequoia combines breath-taking performance, premium comfort and impressive technology in a robustly-handsome SUV,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “Our most capable Sequoia yet offers spacious room for up to eight adults, a commanding view of the road or trail, and the ability to haul a trailer with ease and confidence – plus the high torque and impressive efficiency of Toyota’s i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain.”

Every 2025 Sequoia delivers full-size performance for full-size adventure thanks to Toyota’s powerful and proven hybrid technology. The exclusively-electrified Sequoia is built round Toyota’s i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain, featuring a twin turbo V6 engine and high-torque electric motors. These work in harmony with a 10-speed automatic transmission to generate 427 system horsepower, 583 lb-ft of torque, and a 9,000-pound towing rating. All models feature on-demand four-wheel-drive to deliver power to every wheel when it’s needed while maximizing fuel efficiency when it’s not.

The Sequoia is built on the TNGA-F platform – a modern body-on-frame chassis design featuring a fully-boxed ladder frame. Coupled with an independent front suspension and multi-link rear suspension plus available suspension upgrades specifically designed for frequent towing, the result is go-anywhere strength plus the impressive comfort and superior handling.

The Sequoia’s commanding power is matched by muscular and chiseled body lines that convey its commanding presence at first sight. Headlamps, grilles, wheels, and other features give each grade a distinctive appearance. The Sequoia is available in nine eye-catching colours, including the new, TRD Pro exclusive, Mudbath.

Inside, the Sequoia offers three rows of seating. Eight-person models feature a second-row bench, while seven-person models replace this with a pair of captain’s chairs. Heated front seats and three-zone automatic air conditioning are standard, while Platinum and Capstone grades introduce front-row massage seats for the 2025 model year.

A touchscreen display and voice command provide easy access to the Toyota Multimedia system – featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, USB-A and USB-C input and charging port, Bluetooth connectivity, Sirius XM Satellite Radio capability, plus Remote Connect, Safety Connect, Service Connect, and Drive Connect.

Every Sequoia also comes with an impressive package of active and passive safety features – headlined by Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, a suite of active safety technologies and capabilities that supports driver awareness and decision making to help reduce the potential for accidents. Other standard safety features include Blind Spot Monitor System with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Brake, Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto-Braking, trailer sway warning system, tire pressure monitor system with auto location, trailer brake controller, hill-start assist control, and an anti-theft alarm system.
