Hybrids Tacoma Hybrids

As if a wide range of dirt-crushing, trail-ready Tacoma trucks wasn’t enough, the Tacoma Limited, TRD Off Road Premium, TRD Pro and all-new Trailhunter grades now come as hybrids, driven by the powerful i-FORCE MAX Hybrid Powertrain.

* Provincial towing laws may require the installation of electric towing brakes in order to safely tow. Before towing, confirm what laws affect you, and whether, if required, your vehicle can accommodate electric towing brakes. Make sure your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. If gross trailer weight is above 5,000 lb (2,268 kg), it is necessary to use a weight-distributing hitch with sufficient capacity. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions and cautions from your trailer-hitch manufacturer and in your Owner’s Manual. The maximum you can tow depends on base curb weight plus the total weight of any cargo, occupants, and added vehicle equipment. “Added vehicle equipment” includes additional standard/optional equipment and accessories added by the manufacturer, dealers, and/or vehicle owners. The only way to be certain of your vehicle’s exact curb weight is to weigh your vehicle without passengers or cargo.

If your vehicle is equipped with a kick sensor, installation of a tow hitch receiver or other accessories located near the rear bumper may require disabling or removing the kick sensor, and the sensor operation setting in your vehicle should be turned off. See Owner’s Manual for limitations.

Tacoma offers dual-stage airbags for driver and front passenger, front seat-mounted side airbags, roll-sensing side airbags, and driver and passenger knee airbags.

Automatic Limited Slip Differential

Automatic limited slip differential engages the traction control system to help control wheel spin – working to free the vehicle when one of the drive-wheels loses contact with the ground, or enhancing take off on uneven, slippery, or roll-resistant surfaces like sand.

Available Panoramic View Monitor and Multi-Terrain Monitor

Multiple cameras provide multiple exterior angles viewable on the 14” touchscreen. Views include a 360° top-down panorama, as well as Side Clearance, Cornering and See-through Views. All designed to provide the driver with information and confidence in any driving situation.

6 Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist is designed to read visible lane markers under certain conditions.
